Bio

It gives me great pleasure to return to my alma mater as Program Coordinator Clinical Assistant Professor in Hospitality Business Management for Washington State University North Puget Sound at Everett. In addition to my bachelor degree from Washington State University, my graduate degrees include a Masters in Business Administration and Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University. Prior to academics, I worked in the hospitality industry for 30 years, with 25 in management. This career spanned both the commercial and non-commercial segments. I have lectured at Washington State University’s College of Business, Gonzaga University’s School of Business Administration and the School of Professional Studies. I have also served as the Director of Student Services for Gonzaga’s Virtual Campus, done development work for a Spokane, Washington non-profit group, and conducted workshops for the Small Business Development Center. I have also enjoyed volunteering with Jesuit Commons: Higher Education at the Margins and Unity in the Community. In 2007, I spent a semester as a visiting lecturer at University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. My free time is spent in Liberty Lake with my wife, Chan, and son, John.
